Creative Mobility creative community performance workshop facilitators and public performances
Creative Mobility Travellines workshops and online performance www, tapinonthepipes.comCreative Mobility is a collective of Sunshine Coast women artists some of whom experience a disability. The group consists of three core members Corrie Wright, Sue Lee and Di Collier with further involvement from Edith Van der Heyde, Anna Handley, Lesley Haliday and Becky Down.  The aim of the artists is to use the arts as an interactive tool to turn barriers into bridges.  Collaboration is an essential element of this process.
Creative Mobility was formed four years ago to present an exhibition of wheel chair sculptures that portrayed emotional responses to wheel chair confinement.  At the same time a stage show was devised called “Welcome to my Wardrobe” in which the chairs were presented as fashion accessories.

In the past four years Creative Mobility have developed and performed “On the Streets”, a street performance where the audience is actively invited to interact and respond to the chairs.

In addition to their performances, Creative Mobility facilitates community involvement in arts initiatives and offers a range of art and drama workshops for persons of all abilities. Creative Mobility designed, created and implemented the innovative multi art workshops as part of the Travel Lines and tapinonthepipes projects. These projects culminated in four different Regional communities building on and collaborative working to develop an outcome of a live Internet performance.
