D'Arne Sleeman

Soprano, D'Arne Sleeman graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University, with a Graduate Diploma in Voice, 1994. She has performed operatic roles including Donna Anna in Don Giovanni in Italy with Studio Lirico; Nella in Gianni Schicchi; and the Witch in Dido & Aeneas for Opera Box in Wales and London. She has performed in over 20 operas with the Opera Queensland Chorus since 1993; both in staged and concert works. D’Arne sang a solo role in Coro Magnifico with Opera Queensland in 2001.  D'Arne has performed the roles of Gianetta in Elisir d'amour, Suor Infermiera in Suor Angelica and excerpts of Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier and Mimi/Musetta in La Boheme with the Queensland Conservatorium. In 2002, she sang the title role in a semi-staged performance of Susanna’s Secret at a Brisbane City Council lunchtime concert.  D'Arne sings regularly for weddings, concerts and services around Brisbane and is a regular soloist at All Saints Anglican Church.  On the Corporate side D'Arne created In the Mood Four (vocal quartet) and in 2002 produced Festival of Music and Song on behalf of Council on the Aging, in the Concert Hall QPAC
